This paper argues that treating climate modification as a mere technical solution hides geopolitical risks and corporate exploration, a process defined as green coloniality. Beyond solar radiation management, advanced environment technologies are targeting oceanic and marine ecosystems. The thermal manipulation of oceans can affect global climate patterns, enhance or mimic phenomena like El Niño, and intervene in the generation of tropical cyclones.
